Mixology Fridays
So, as I get old one of my passion is Mixology.
I am referring to the study or skill of preparing mixed drinks, you know, the art of combining various ingredients to make cocktails.
Because I usually do Happy hour on Fridays, I have decided to do a regular posting here that I have dubbed “Mixology Fridays”.
Here, you will find my growth in my home bartending skills. I hope you will like and come back every Friday to find a new drink.
Today we have a not so Classic Old Fashioned.
Not So Classic Old Fashioned
1 sugar cube
2 oz Bulleit bourbon (or your choice of Bourbon)
1/2 oz grand Marnier
2 dashes of Angostura bitters
half a teaspoon of Luxardo cherry juice
In a cocktail mixing glass muddle sugar cube and then add all the other ingredients
add a few pieces of ice and stir for about 1 minute.
Strain it into an old-fashioned glass that has a clear ice cube/sphere.
Garnish with 2 pieces of Luxardo cherry on a pick and an orange peel.
