Jalapeño Tequila

Homemade Jalapeño Tequila

I love infusions.

You go out and you get Vanilla Infused Vodka, or Strawberry Flavored Tequila.

You pay a premium for something you can make at home and that you can control the ingredients.

Jalapeño Tequila is the absolute best. It gives you the right amount of tingle and heat in your cocktails. You can make spicy margaritas or palomas.

Use two medium jalapeños, sliced in half, lengthwise. If you leave the seed and ribs it will be hotter. Place the slices in a jar that can hold 750ml of tequila.

Pour the entire bottle (750ml) of silver tequila, your preference. Cover with a lid.

Let the mixture steep for 10-12 hours. Afterwards, strain the jalapeños and seeds. The Jalapeños can be discarded.

Enjoy!

Store your jalapeno tequila just as you would store normal tequila. It does not need to be refrigerated and should last up to 6 months.
