I lost everything to Mount Vesuvius

I am having lots of fun with the Artificial Intelligence tools that are currently available; mainly the Midjourney Bot and DALL-E 2.

It took a while to get an account on DALL-E but it was worth the wait. The free account is enough for my needs, 15 images a month is probably more that I will need. They offer other plans that require payment. I got an account with the Midjourney bot, but I will probably cancel it soon.

The only thing is after waiting for so long for an account, it feels like I am late to the party.

There are a ton of resources out there and people have even created manuals for the services. I am also seeing lots of images in the circles that I usually frequent. Images created with these tools, that is.

There are also a large number of images that I just can’t believe were created with Artificial Intelligence!

My prompts do not produce the quality that I see in some of the works. It’s all in the nuances of the prompt. One word is added at the end, and the whole image changes into some different and unique. I have some reading to do.

Before I started college, I wanted to go into the field of Artificial Intelligence. Back then it was in its infancy and we were promised advances that were comparable to flying cars!

One of the languages that were talked about back then, was Ada, “a structured, statically typed, imperative, and object-oriented high-level programming language, extended from Pascal and other languages.” (Wikipedia) It was really new, and I remember reading some publications that mentioned its use in Artificial Intelligence (AI) programming. What a GEEK! 👅

Fast-forward to today, and who would have thought that my life would have taken so many twists and turns to put me in the position of creating art/images using AI?

More to come as I practice using these tools. Maybe I will create a gallery with the images I generate. So Exciting!!
